The best natural approach and techniques that may move you out of pain and into health

After thorough examination, a chiropractor adds energy to your spine at the precise levels to help your body ‘right’ itself. Think of a chiropractic adjustment as a gentle ‘nudge’ to help restore better movement to the spine.

At Simply Health, the techniques we use will vary according to the individual patient and their needs. Deeper and firmer adjustments to fast stretch deep muscles may be just what some people require. However, very gentle adjustments to slowly stretch muscles will be better suited for others, especially children and older adults.

What do chiropractic adjustments feel like? Usually quite pleasant. Often clients mention that not only do they move better, but that they feel more ‘connected’, and report a pleasant sense of ease and well-being.

The primary adjusting techniques we use include:

Manual Technique

Manual Techniques – such as Gonsted and Diversified

These are traditional chiropractic techniques, the types that make a ‘popping’ sound as a joint is released and deep muscles experience a quick stretch to activate nerve receptors. These can be very effective in relieving pain and restoring function, however, they are not suitable for all patients.

Instrument Assisted Techniques - such as Impulse Instrument and Activator

Instrument Assisted Techniques – such as Impulse Instrument and Activator

These are hand held devices that can be used to adjust the spine. They can also be used as therapy on muscle trigger points.

Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT)

Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT)

Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) helps normalise the relationship between the pelvis and the head. By using gravity and your own body to effect correction, new healthier patterns of spinal function can result. Along with safe, consistent results, SOT is known for emphasizing client comfort.

Muscle Strength Testing

Muscle Strength Testing

Testing the strength of specific muscles of your body helps us find imbalances in your musculo-skeletal system. We will often use pre and post muscle strength testing to monitor response to your care.

Chiropractic Neuro-Rehabilitation

Dr Anthony Coxon has completed a 2-year post graduate course in Chiropractic Functional Neurology. This gives them additional skills necessary to help people with more complex cases including dizziness and some balance disorders.

Cranial Technique

Cranial Technique

Not only is your skull made up of many bones, their ability to move can potentially affect your health which is why we rely on this powerful technique. Cranial Technique can unlock the surprising and often overlooked connection between the skull and our health.

Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy (CLT)

Cold Laser Therapy (CLT) delivers energy units, in the form of collimated light photons, to damaged tissue cells. Photons absorbed by the cells stimulate mitochondria to increase the production of ATP (the power house chemical giving energy to the cell). This biochemical increase in cell energy helps transform the cells from a state illness to a healthy stable state.
