Luxury outfitters Orlebar Brown present the new season's finest shade. The post Enveloped By Spring Blues appeared first on Robb Report Australia and New Zealand.
For some strange reason, the colour most men land upon when choosing to expand a wardrobe (beyond neutral tones) is blue. Navy, typically, or the kind of washed out tones more common in denim. It’s the safe bet. The versatile bet. Because let’s face it — it goes with everything right?
As such, blue tends to get overlooked when it comes to actually experimenting with one’s outfits. But the coolest of the primary colours can be wielded as powerfully as any other on the spectrum — one that embodies the sky and the sea with regality and vividness.
OB explores cool blue tones in its latest collection of swimwearThis is something that luxury outfitters Orlebar Brown, purveyors of all things to be worn in crystal-clear seas and under azure skies, have sought to explore with its AW23 collection.
A celebration of all things sapphire and cerulean (and every shade in between), the collection of swimwear and resortwear recontextualises the colour as one of luxury thanks to its integration in a brand new floral print, ‘Utopia’. Elsewhere, the label’s polo shirts have been reimagined with a new cotton-silk fabric, alongside an expanded range of cashmere shirts and towelling fabrics for long days by the water.
These rich blue tones are balanced throughout the collection with warm shades of orange and yellow in what is an initial summer edit, celebrating what’s left of the warmer months, before introducing rich greens, browns and greys as it transitions into autumn, with the blues descending to a deeper and richer plane.
Of course, OB’s commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability is class-leading.
