Nothing pulls your outfit together quite like a sartorial timepiece, and Guess has just launched a new collection, Lady Idol, designed to make a statement.
Featuring five sparkly colourways, the collection is unmistakably feminine and ranges from simple white and gold to millennial pink with a glittery gradient watch face. It’s giving Barbiecore and we’re here for it.
Each colourway features the collection’s signature sparkling crystal case bezel and either a metal or silicone strap. The face diameter sits at 38mm, making it on the larger side for a smaller wrist and giving it a contemporary, chunky look.
Mel was drawn to the more timeless offering of the silver design, featuring a stainless steel strap and silver glitter watch face. The versatile style of this Guess watch means she can easily dress it up with a cocktail dress and some silver jewellery, or elevate a casual jeans and t-shirt combo by adding this to her arm stack.
To pay homage to the year of the Barbie movie, I went bold with the pink design. Although it’s more of a statement piece, I’ve found it quite easy to style as I’ve been weaving quite a few touches of pink into my outfits lately. Paired with a patterned pink top or a neutral outfit and pink handbag this watch easily ties the look together.
I wore it to the launch of Designer Brand’s new campaign at Hyde Hacienda and it added the perfect finishing touch to my outfit. I styled it with this vibrant pink mesh top, a white pleated tennis skirt and a pink and gold bag to create a feminine and fun look.
With the festive season upon us, Lady Idol offers a playful range of watches perfect for completing a fun party outfit or gifting to a stylish friend. The collection starts at $279 RRP and can be purchased from Myer, David Jones or The Iconic.
