Whether it is hiking, swimming or lounging at the beach - we are sure you're making the most of this summer weather. But, when you lather on your sunscreen, do you remember your feet? It's important to use sunscreen on the tops of your feet and toes as they tend to take in a lot of sunlight, especially when you're barefoot or in sandals.

What can you do for Sunburnt Feet?

The first step is to examine. As with traditional burns, its important to determine the level of damage to your skin.

What do you see? Do you notice any blisters or discharge? If you do, it's important to seek medical attention.

If you notice red or pink feet, there are some home remedies that you ca try to sooth the pain.

Place a cold damp compress to cool the skin. This will help alleviate the burning sensation.

Try a cool foot soak to soothe the pain.

Remember to stay hydrated - drink plenty of water!

You can use an over the counter cream containing aloe vera. Place the cream in the fridge to provide some additional relief.

Let your feet breath: avoid tight shoes that will pinch and irritate you burn, or shoes that are too large which can cause rubbing.

My sunburnt feet are healing, but I see blisters, what should I do?
