We booked to stay at the Ace Hotel upon seeing a special via Facebook. We secured a room at $215 per night, and we were able to park close by in a parking centre for $30 overnight. The Boutique hotel is located in the historic Tyne House Brick factory.
Rooms are small (we were in a medium) but they make good use of the space. There’s also suites if you’d prefer something larger. Huge beds are so so comfortable and we could have easily just stayed there all day. They’re even pet friendly for an extra $120.
The rooms have super cool styling, even with a real guitar in the room. There’s a tv which you can stream from your phone. There’s a well stocked mini bar with artisan products and you can also order room service.
The room uses many materials that show a real focus on helping the environment.
The hotel has two restaurants; the fancier Kiln, and more casual Loam. We’ve been to Kiln before, it’s a bit more upmarket and swanky cocktail bar, but quite party vibes on a Saturday night. This time we chose to dine at Loam. It was wonderful and so much so, it receives its own blog here.
The hotel also has a gym with modern equipment and plenty of it, so you can get a good workout in.
The location is in the heart of the CBD and close to Central Station, so it’s great for out of towners or even those on a staycation like us.
We had a great stay and would definitely visit again.
