This cosy neighbourhood Newcastle restaurant is on par with what Sydney has to offer and we left super impressed.

Harrison’s Food and Wine has a great ala carte menu and also tasting menu.

We were there as a group, so we did the banquet menu; complete with a huge range of delicious food; beginning with grilled bread & butter, Paella Arancini, a Caprese of Heirloom Tomato and Burata as well as these amazing Baked 1/2 shell Scallops with a Mornay Gratin. After this we shared a plate of Pate, Terrine, Jamon, Pickles, crunchy Toast and whilst this was certainly an amazing feast already, there was more to come.

A medium cooked wagyu with chimichurri, triple cooked chats and a light and refreshing side salad, this was such a wonderful feast.

It finished just as strong with a basque Baked Cheesecake.

For $75 per person, we found this to be super reasonable. Staff took effort to accommodate guests’ dietary needs and were impeccable in their service and topping up drinks and checking in.
