It was my privilege to attend the Ringwood Garden Club meeting last week and meet some very keen gardeners.

The challenge to the members for this month was create a mini flower bouquet in an egg cup.

It sounds easy, but if I had to do it myself, I think it would be a bit tricky. You see a lot of my blooms would be far too big for an egg cup.

Then there is the arranging. There would be no place for big clumsy hands! I think a pair of tweezers would be in order.

Anyway, here is what they came up with.

Garden Clubs are a great way to meet new people with a passion for plants. Some younger members are also coming through and the experience they gain from talking to the more experienced members would be of great benefit to their gardening skills.

They are running Garden Clubs all across Australia. There is sure to be one near you.  Regards, James.
