In an exciting announcement for design enthusiasts and industry professionals alike, The Design Files has recently introduced its much-anticipated Design Directory. The directory brings together 100s of furniture, lighting and rug options, hand-picked by the TDF team.
Lucy Feagins, founder of The Design Files, said the core reason they launched the directory was to become more useful. She wrote, “The Design Files has been serving up design inspiration for almost 16 years now (!) — and whilst we’ve become Australia’s go-to destination for home inspiration, we want to move beyond just inspo!”
“We often get asked for personal furniture, lighting or styling recommendations, and many of you have even asked us if we provide a home styling / furniture curation service! We don’t, but TDF Directory if the next best thing! We want TDF to do more than just inspire you, we want to help you create a home you love. A home just as gorgeous as the places you admire on TDF. So next time you’re hunting for that perfect new sofa, or a cute new lamp for your bedroom — look no further!”
The Design Directory can be filtered by a product database or by category (our personal favourite category at Ian Barker Gardens is, of course, the ‘Outdoor’ category). Each product lists information on pricing, sizing, colours, customisation options and where products can be purchased.
The TDF has also curated mood boards inspired by some of their favourite Australian designers, ‘get the look’ stories inspired by the homes they publish and shopping guides.
As avid readers of The Design Files, we couldn’t be more grateful for this latest addition, and we can’t wait to watch this platform evolve. To view the Design Directory, click here.
