Stepping into the coastal home of artist Ash Holmes, the space has been carefully curated to evoke the sense of a gallery itself. Folk Studio’s lead designer Mariah, was Inspired by Japanese minimalism, each space designed with purposeful simplicity and seamless functionality, incorporating warm tones, deep greens and earthy textured ceramics throughout. Every image was captured to tell a tale of thoughtful design and the art of living. Some of the statement pieces throughout include a bespoke American Walnut Dining table designed by the team at Folk Studio, the custom steel doors that lead into the bedroom and sunroom, expanding the perception of space, and the timber beams which run throughout which were salvaged from an old Wharf. The clients have always lived by the water so this was a nice touch to tie them to their coastal lifestyle. Designing a space custom to its owners.
