2021's Kitchen Design Trends Design Trends
2021 has certainly been a year to remember. With a lot of our workforce working from home, our kitchens have never been more utilised. We have listed some of the more popular design trends below.
1) Multi-zone kitchens
Remember at the beginning of the pandemic when everybody made banana bread? Most might have moved on from that recipe, but we’re all still in the kitchen. Less eating out means more people around the oven. And you know what they say about too many cooks in the kitchen – make more room!
Enter the rise of multi-zone kitchens. Today, people want cooking spaces that allow for everyone to flow through the room without dead-ends. Often, that means installing large kitchen islands big enough for handling prepping, chopping and serving endless loaves of banana bread – all at once.
2) Earthy Tones
Earthy tones are in this year with gorgeous light colours and beiges sweeping across the country. Paired with elegant but simple accessories, it’s hard to go wrong with these colour combinations. Our Paddington 32 MKII, on display at Rochedale Arise depicts earthy tones with a neutral colour palette, accented with deep green pieces of decor.
3) Ceaser Stone Benchtops
Not only is stone luxurious, but it’s also natural. The natural beauty of caesar stone is what fits in perfectly with 2021’s down-to-earth trends, tapping into its raw classiness to finish off a gorgeous kitchen.
4) Natural Lighting
Bring the outdoors in with natural lighting in your kitchen this summer. Natural lighting not only brightens the space, but enhances colours and gives your kitchen a gorgeous glow.
5) Open Plan, Utility Kitchen
Open living has always been a favourite in Australia, but incorporating a kitchen you can utilise has been a struggle without it appearing messy. 2021’s kitchen trends have brought through open living butlers pantry and walk in pantries to integrate your living space whilst keeping it functional.
