We hosted our first Birch X Add to Cart Event on the weekend in the restaurant – what an amazing afternoon we had sharing ways to host the ULTIMATE feast. Lots of amazing food, wine, chatting, cooking, eating, and then shopping! What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Ideas for hosting this event had been years in the making…just that pandemic thing kept getting in our way…but we finally managed to pull it all together.

The plan was to showcase what I do as a home cook, entraining at home, tablescaping and then Chef ben showcasing what he does as a ‘proper’ chef for entertaining with demonstrations from us both for the ultimate lunch. We also had a chance to talk to Lucy and I about small business, our move to the Highlands, as well as some tips from me on how to set a perfect table. We then and enjoyed our amazing dishes, along with paired wines, before wandering over to our Add to cart Pop up for some shopping. Does it get much better than that?

I thought I better share some of the amazing photos from the day because it all just looked so so beautiful…a visual feast for the eyes! Mrs Munro went to town with her home grown dahlias which we were lucky enough to use on the table…she helped me create the most beautiful table setting…a perfect Autumn celebration!

I instantly wanted to host a big long lunch here with all my friends…stat!

The colours of the rainbow were all on show…so pretty!

We also had the pop up shopping a picture…for an online shop it’s always fun to be able to get the stock out and have a play with it.

The doors were opened and it was time to invite the guests in to enjoy the afternoon…

And what a feast it was we got to enjoy!

A huge thanks to Renee and the entire Birch team for pulling this together for us and for providing the most wonderful space for us to enjoy this feast. For Chef ben who had to do all the hard work for me and answer my stupid questions. And for my dear friend Mrs Munro for all her beautiful blooms. Lucy and  hope we can enjoy more of these in the future and see more of you there too!

And of course to our dear friends Adam & Annie who opened up their amazing AirBnb accomodation for the winners of our giveaway to enjoy two night there. if you ever need somewhere to stay in our village, this place is it!! Book online here.
