Sydney-based party series Summer Dance has announced its continuation into 2024, with international artists set to DJ at the first party of the year on Saturday January 6th. Northern Irish duo Bicep will headline proceedings during the day portion of proceedings, set to take place in the Liberty Hall Courts in Moore Park’s Entertainment Quarter, while UK-based DJ Yung Singh will close out the evening half inside Liberty Hall itself.

Bicep will be joined at the former by English producer/DJ Ross From Friends and local DJ Willo, while Yung Singh will be joined by UK-based Pasifika DJ Lady Shaka and Sydney-based Munasib. Ticketing is available in three tiers: Day-only, night-only and a discounted ticket that will gain access to both parties. It is currently sold out, but those interested can sign up to the waitlist on Moshtix for any additional ticket releases.

Bicep’s return to Australia was confirmed several months ago with their announcement on the 2023/4 line-up for Lost Paradise. There, they will be joined by the likes of Flume, Dom Dolla, Foals and Jayda G. Shortly thereafter, they were announced as part of the line-up for Melbourne dance party Let Them Eat Cake alongside the aforementioned Yung Singh, as well as acts like salute and C.FRIM.

Ross From Friends, meanwhile, was previously announced as being part of the Beyond The Valley line-up over the new-year period. RÜFÜS DU SOL, Central Cee, Peggy Gou and DMA’S are all part of the line-up. Kelis was originally announced as part of the festival, but was later replaced by A$AP Ferg and Flight Facilities following her tour cancellation.

Both acts are quickly following up previous visits to Australia. Bicep were last in Australia almost exactly a year ago, performing at festivals such as Wildlands, Beyond The Valley and Field Day. Ross From Friends was last in Australia in late January and early February, performing as part of Laneway Festival as well as a select run of headlining sideshows.

Summer Dance was revived by Astral People earlier this year, with its comeback party being headlined by a two-hour set from Four Tet. The second party in November featured Todd Terje, while Eris Drew went back-to-back with Octo Octa last weekend (December 16) for its third instalment.
