In a pre-Christmas shock, Bring Me The Horizon has announced a lineup change
Bring Me the Horizon have issued a statement announcing the departure of respected keyboardist, percussionist and producer Jordan Fish. The statement late yesterday confirmed the change and that the band would continue to work on their new record NeX Gen without him. The record, which was due for a September release was indefinitely delayed, with this news perhaps explaining the holdup.
The statement reads: “Bring Me The Horizon has decided to part ways with Jordan Fish. We want to thank him for the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck with everything in the future. Meanwhile we continue to work on 'Nex Gen', with brand new music coming very soon. See you on our UK tour in January.”
The split seems amicable, with Fish releasing his own statement about his time with the band and looking forward to the future.
“I’m really grateful for my 11 years with the band, and extremely proud of all that we have achieved together. I look forward to hearing what they do next, and wish them every success in the future. I’m excited to start this next period of my career, focusing for the meantime on songwriting and production.”
There is no word on his replacement, however the band are set for a UK tour in January, so fans won’t need to wait long to find out. The band are also heading downunder in April.
The tour is promoting the British outfit’s forthcoming new album, POST HUMAN: NeX Gen, which hopefully be dropping before they arrive. NeX Gen follows Post Human: Survival Horror, the album that boasted the singles Paradise Eve, Teardrops and Obey (featuring Yungblud).
NeX Gen is exptected to keep up the collaborative spirit, featuring the already-released AmEN! starring Lil Uzi Vert and Glassjaw’s Daryl Palumbo, and the pop-punk-inspired LosT. Bring Me The Horizon recently released the new single DArkSide, which you can listen to below.
Tickets to Bring Me The Horizon’s April 2024 Australian tour are on sale now via the Destroy All Lines website.
