Terminade gives the professional pest manager excellent value by providing superior efficacy in controlling termites. This was initially proven in independent research and development studies with Terminade in a replicated laboratory vertical soil infiltration study. The trial was conducted to determine and compare the soil infiltration rates of Terminade and a reference fipronil product over three levels in a predominately loam soil over time with and without the influence of simulated rainfall. The application of Terminade at the label rate to loamy sand soil resulted in concentrations of fipronil in the three levels of soil being higher for the Terminade treatment than the reference fipronil product without the simulated rainfall and significantly higher than the reference fipronil product at both 2 days post-treatment and 28 days post-treatment following exposure to a heavy 280 mm of simulated rainfall. (20 mm of rainfall every two days). This means that termite professionals can have total confidence in the performance of Terminade Residual Termitcide.

The results also show the typical variability of sub-slab material as at 175 mm the concentration of Terminade due to piping was highest compared to shorter distances from the injection point. The trial also demonstrated that Terminade moves more horizontally in the soil material than the claimed 300mm on the Terminade label and also clearly moves more than the compared other fipronil product.
The research and development studies with Terminade are backed up by the many years of commercial experience and reputation since registration in August 2012. As of writing all structures that have been treated in Australia and Singapore with Terminade remain free of termite re-infestation. Terminade demonstrates superior efficacy in controlling termites with the label stating for a minimum of 8 years. This is a true testament to the proven efficacy and safety of Terminade as a key termite management product in the commercial termite pest management marketplace.
Terminade is also registered for the control of a wide range of ant species by direct contact and residual activity on treated surfaces around external areas of domestic and commercial buildings. When applied as a surface spray as directed, Terminade will provide up to 3 months control of ants and is best applied as ant activity increases in early spring.
