Penrith has been made aware of a photo circulating on social media featuring premiership hooker Mitch Kenny.
Premiership hooker Mitch Kenny has blamed "trolls" for an Instagram post which is being investigated by Penrith and the NRL.
Wide World of Sports confirmed on Wednesday the game's governing body had contacted the Panthers to get to the bottom of ?a photo circulating on social media.
"The NRL is aware of the matter and will be liaising with the club," an NRL statement to WWOS said.?

The image appears to be a screenshot of Kenny's personal Instagram account.
A photo of Kenny's own face was allegedly posted to his Instagram story on Tuesday, along with the caption, "couple Boxing Day lines have got me in trouble".
Wide World of Sports contacted the Panthers and the NRL who said they were aware of the image.
The club opted not to comment publicly on the matter.?
Kenny later posted to Instagram again, this time attempting to explain the original post.
"Happy new year guys. Enjoy... and ignore trolls who grabbed my phone," he wrote.
Kenny, 25, was the starting hooker in Penrith's last two NRL grand final victories.?
