Gary Naylor emails: “All around me last week at Goodison, fans accepted that Dominic Calvert-Lewin needed a break. He hasn’t scored many in recent weeks, but his work rate has been exemplary, making intelligent runs and mixing it with defenders from the first minute to the last. That some fans made him something of a fall guy during the Lampard chaos was a poor show, but none would begrudge him starting on the bench tonight.”
