Last month I was laying on a beautiful beach sipping tropical smoothie drinks. Only a few weeks into spring and it still feels like winter. I don’t know about you but I’m counting the days until hot summer days and afternoons on the beach. When Wayfair asked if I wanted to the Bring the Beach home – I jumped at the chance to create one of my favorite tropical smoothies to enjoy in the comfort of my living room.

When I think of the beach I think of all my favorite tropical fruits: Mango, Pineapple, Coconut.
Obviously living in New York City I don’t always have access to fresh fruits but I always have frozen fruit in my freezer. When I get to the tropics, I bring the tropics home to me.
I decided to make a version of my favorite frozen tropical smoothie: the Dole Whip!
If you’ve never had a Disney Dole Whip – you haven’t lived. It’s one of my favorite snacks while at Disney World. Everything about it is just beachy, tropical and refreshing.
Tropical Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup frozen mango 1 cup frozen pineapple 1 1/2 cups coconut ice cream juice of 1 freshly squeezed limeInstructions
Add all ingredients into blender and mix until smooth and creamy. Pour into glass and serve. If you want this tropical smoothie to have an extra kick – add dark rum. Enjoy and if adding rum, enjoy responsibly.
Wayfair makes it easy to Bring the Beach home – from fun serveware to serve your cocktails and mocktails, kitchen items (to make your favorite smoothie) and outdoor furniture to create a relaxing outdoor space.
