If there’s one model that does not need too much tinkering in the three-pointed star lineup, it’s the Mercedes-Maybach S680. Oftentimes, owners of the ultra-luxurious car who have nothing better to do with their money tend to introduce upgrades that don’t do the auto any good. This just happens to be one of the many examples we are referring to.

Yes, It’s from Mansory!

Wanting to make a statement once more, Mansory did a China Blue paint job on the Mercedes-Maybach S680. So now, it comes from looking like this:

To this:

And no, that’s not a Chinese knockoff of the Maybach S-Class!

Just about everything, except the glass panels, roof, underside of the side mirrors, and the front grille, all turned blue. If there’s any consolation from all these abominations is only the thought that Mansory didn’t go all bananas on this one.

The Maybach S680 got to keep its signature spoilers, skirts, and other original attachments. It’s just that they all have lost the accents that elevated them in this sea of blue. Additionally, we couldn’t find any Mansory badges in this build. Is the tuner trying to distance itself from this project after realizing what it did?

What Else Happened?

Mansory didn’t mention anything else about the car, but besides the new color of the wheels, they appear to be larger than the factory-fitted units. Meanwhile, a peek through the glass reveals the (in)famous tuner kept everything intact, which is actually good news.

Likewise, there is no information regarding any engine upgrade to the almighty 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 configuration of the ultra-opulent ride. That’s a good call again because its 621 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque outputs already pack enough kick to propel it from 0 to 60 mph in mere 4.5 seconds.

Pricing

The renowned Mercedes-Benz tuner didn’t provide pricing details for its latest work on the Mercedes-Maybach S680. However, it should be noted that the base car itself is already near the $200,000 mark in its standard trim.
