Cadillac is quickly becoming the brand leading the charge (we apologize) into the electric vehicle (EV) era. The brand showed off its fifth electric vehicle this morning.
We’d love to give you details on the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq, but Cadillac hasn’t given any to anyone outside the company. This morning’s unveiling comprised a few photos of the car’s exterior. Accompanying text promised three rows of seating.
It looks roughly like the offspring of a Cadillac XT6 SUV and an all-electric Cadillac Lyriq EV. That’s probably a reasonable idea of what to expect.
Engineers build most of today’s EVs on so-called skateboard platforms. The platforms combine common batteries, motors, suspension, and steering components. Engineers can scale them up or down to build vehicles of different classes. They use software to control performance so that the same motors can provide around-town power in affordable EVs and track-like speed in more expensive models.
GM calls its platform Ultium. Cadillac uses the Ultium skateboard for all of its EVs.
The Vistiq seems to slot between the 2-row midsize Lyriq and the full-size Escalade IQ in Cadillac’s lineup. The Lyriq has 340 horsepower in rear-wheel drive (RWD) and 500 in all-wheel drive (AWD). Similar numbers are likely for the 3-row Vistiq, though Cadillac has boosted Ultium motors as high as 750 horsepower in the Escalade IQ.
The Vistiq in photos Cadillac released wears a “600E4” badge, probably suggesting an AWD drivetrain.
We’ll bring more info soon. Cadillac says, “Additional Vistiq details, including available features and pricing, will be released next year.”
