The Bollywood movie ‘Animal,’ which was released in theatres weeks ago, has been receiving a good response from viewers across the nation. The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer action movie has already garnered praise for its actors’ skills. We’ve previously covered a story about the actors and actresses from the movie and the expensive cars they own. People have been talking a lot about the character played by Tripti Dimri since the movie’s release. Tripti Dimri is known for her roles in a couple of Bollywood movies and several web series on OTT platforms. While most of the cast in this movie owns luxury cars, Tripti Dimri owns a humble Renault Duster.

There are several videos and images of Tripti Dimri available online. In most of the videos, she is seen arriving in a Renault Duster SUV. The SUV that Tripti Dimri owns is the facelift version in the Outback Bronze shade. This is the same shade that looks a bit green in daylight. It is an extremely good-looking shade and gives the SUV a rugged yet premium look.

The Renault Duster, as we know, was one of the most popular SUVs in its segment. It was one of those SUVs that popularized the compact SUV segment in India. This SUV was discontinued from the Indian market in 2022. It was available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Renault even updated the engine to meet the BS6 norms and offered two petrol engine options with the SUV before discontinuing it. We are not sure whether Tripti owns the diesel or petrol version of the SUV. Just like most actresses, Tripti is also expected to upgrade to a luxury sedan or SUV soon. Other than Tripti, Bollywood actresses like Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan also use cars like Maruti Swift & 800.

The Duster was one of the most loved SUVs in its segment, and people loved it for its ride quality. Renault officially announced that they’ll be bringing back the next-generation Duster to India. The SUV is expected to come to India in the second half of 2025. Renault’s sister brand Dacia revealed the next-generation Duster, and the SUV will go on sale in international markets next year. The next-gen Duster features Y-shaped LED DRLs that meet the garnish on the front grille. The bumper looks muscular, with integrated fog lamps and air vents.

Moving to the side profile, the SUV has a blacked-out vertical line on the front door just under the ORVMs. The door handles for the rear doors are hidden on the pillar. The SUV gets 18-inch alloy wheels in the higher version, while the lower variants would get a 17-inch unit. Compared to the older generation Duster, the new one is longer, measuring 4.34 meters. Just like the front, the SUV gets Y-shaped wrap-around tail lamps.

On the inside, the next-gen Duster would come with a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, automatic climate control, AC vents with Y-shaped design elements, a flat top and bottom steering wheel with multi-function buttons, and more. The higher version of the Duster would offer ADAS features too. However, will this feature be offered in India? We’ll have to wait and watch.

Renault offers three engine options with the Duster internationally. There is a 1.6-liter hybrid petrol engine that comes with two electric motors and is mated to an automatic transmission. The next engine on offer is a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. This engine generates around 130 PS. This version of the Duster also offers 4×4 as an optional feature. The third engine option is a 1.0-liter petrol engine that would be offered with petrol-LPG/CNG in some markets.
