The husband and wife's two Bugatti Chiron Super Sports are inspired by the iconic Veyron L'Or Blanc

Talk about setting the bar high for couple goals, right? A dynamic duo in the U.S. has just welcomed not one, but two remarkable Bugatti Chiron Super Sport models into their home – and collection.

The husband was the first to bask in the glory of his Chiron Super Sport, while his wife collaborated with Bugatti‘s Sur Mesure bespoke team to craft her dream car. She worked with the lead designer of Sur Mesure, Jascha Straub, to reimagine the iconic paint scheme of the Veyron L’Or Blanc unveiled 12 years ago, opting for a two-tone finish of red Rosso Efesto and orange Arancia Mira.

Her artistic choice left such an impression that her husband decided to follow suit, sending his Chiron back to Molsheim for a similar transformation, albeit with a magnificent blue hue embracing its exposed gloss carbon fiber body.

Bugatti refers to the intricate pattern applied to both these Chrions as the ‘Vagues de Lumière’ effect because of the way it mimics light reflections. The pattern is first taped over the exterior of the car before each line is meticulously painted by hand and then protected with multiple layers of clear coat. The female customer has chosen to call the car ‘L’aura,’ or ‘The aura’ in English and the name is visible on the underside of the rear wing.

It took the French marque seven long months to transform the husband’s Chiron Super Sport into the one you see. Not only did he decide to have all of the body panels finished in carbon fiber with French Racing Blue elements but he also opted to have the Sky View roof installed, meaning the original roof panel had to be removed from the monocoque. The overhauled car has been dubbed ‘Coup de Foudre’ referencing the blue lines looking like bolts of lightning in the night sky.

The interiors of the two cars are also bespoke. The wife’s car is bathed in bright red leather across the seats, dashboard, and door panels with orange accents while the husband’s is finished in a combination of blue and black leather.

“There is no other car manufacturer like Bugatti,” the firm’s managing director Hendrik Malinowski described. “Each customer’s journey is a unique testament to the unparalleled level of personalization that only Bugatti can deliver. Each Bugatti expert has a different approach, and the resulting cars are entirely unique as a reflection of the individual artistic style not only of each craftsman but also the vision of the customer. For these two customers, the difference in their journeys were distinct. Yet, both showcase the savoir-faire that runs throughout our brand, fittingly inspired by one of our most innovative and beautiful creations: the timeless Veyron L’Or Blanc.“
