The new SUV could look like a mix between the Vision Neue Klasse concept and the existing iX
Last month, our eagle-eyed spy photographers snapped BMW’s all-electric Neue Klasse SUV testing for the very first time and while the X3-sized SUV won’t arrive until 2025 at the earliest, these renderings offer us a good idea of what it may look like.
Much like the Neue Klasse sedan concept that BMW unveiled earlier this year, the front end of the SUV pictured is quite different than current models from the German marque. As such, the sharp LED headlights have been neatly incorporated into the wide kidney grilles, giving the vehicle quite a mean and purposeful look.

These renderings from Kolesa also depict the SUV with a side profile similar to that of the current iX, complete with squared wheel arches and a set of intriguing D-pillars. The designers have also borrowed the wheels from the iX and slotted them onto the Neue Klasse SUV, although the new model will inevitably have a different set of wheels when it hits the market.

Technical specifications about the forthcoming model are not known, but it’s reasonable to assume that BMW will offer it in single and dual-motor configurations and could even be working on a full-blown M version. The German brand has said its Neue Klasse platform can support up to one megawatt of power (1,340 hp) but we would be quite surprised if even the most potent of Neue Klasse SUV models delivered much more than 600 hp.
Carscoops understands that the world premiere of this new model could potentially take place in the second half of 2025 before it goes on sale. Furthermore, it will be introduced ahead of the production version of the 3 Series-sized Vision Neue Klasse sedan concept.
