True automotive enthusiasts do not care about the vehicle they are modifying; they just care about what the most unique thing that can be done to their vehicle is. Proving this, recently, a video of an owner who has modified his Hyundai Eon has been shared on YouTube. This particular owner has added a turbocharger to his Hyundai Eon hatchback, making it a one-off car in India. It has also been given a number of additional performance and exterior modifications.

India’s only turbocharged Hyundai Eon

The videos of this unique Hyundai Eon have been shared on YouTube and Instagram by Mihir Galat and B Choww, respectively. Now coming directly to the main highlight of this build, this Hyundai Eon hatchback’s standard 800cc engine has been ported and increased to 999cc. It has been given forged pistons and connecting rods, a Honeywell turbocharger, BMC air filter, stage 2 clutch, and a stage 2 turbo tune as well. The owner elaborates that the entire work on this engine as well as the car has been done by him at his friend’s shop. He mentions that as some parts were not available, they had to custom build them to create this unique build.

Following this, the presenter asks the owner about the power figures and tune of this custom Hyundai Eon. To this, he replies that currently, he has not taken the car to the dyno, so he won’t be able to provide the exact power figures. However, he mentions that there is an increase of around 15-20 percent in both power and torque. He added that a stock Hyundai Eon makes around 68 bhp and 102 Nm of torque.

Coming to the exhaust situation of this vehicle, the owner explains that, prior to this direct setup, he had a traditional custom-built exhaust. He mentioned that at the moment the car has no catalytic converter, muffler, or resonator. It only gets a custom header, and it directly shoots out the gases from the turbo which come out of the front. For this reason, he currently cannot fit a bonnet on this car.

Exterior modifications

Next up, coming to the exterior modifications done on this particular Hyundai Eon. The owner starts at the front and mentions that the car has been given a full custom body kit which he bought from Kerala. He added that it gets an all-new front bumper which is a lot more aggressive. It also gets bigger widebody wheel arches. Additionally, the car has also been given replica Work Meister S1 alloy wheels finished in brushed and gloss silver.

The owner of the car also mentions that the entire vehicle has been given a satin black paint job. Next up, the presenter and the owner show the extremely unique rear spoiler. The owner explains that this rear spoiler, which gets blue metal mounts and plexiglass spoiler, has been inspired by the Revival Birdcage motorcycle. The car has also been given aftermarket LED projector headlamps in place of traditional fog lamps and has also been given black tints on the taillights as well.

Interior modifications

As for the interior modifications, the car has been given a Momo steering wheel and a Sparco gear knob. It also gets an aftermarket Android music system as well. Meanwhile, the rest of the interior, including seats and the dashboard, has been kept the same as the stock car.
