Car modification is one thing that any automotive enthusiast can’t get enough of. There is always something that can be changed, and recently, showing a perfect example of this, a video was shared online. In this video, the owner of this particular Renault Kwid hatchback got it modified not once but twice to make it the most modified Kwid in India. This Renault Kwid also happens to be the only one in India painted in Sonic grey color and with a genuine Nappa leather interior.

India’s only Sonic grey Kwid

The video of India’s first and only Sonic grey painted Renault Kwid has been shared on YouTube by Autorounders on their channel. It starts with the owner of the shop introducing the owner of the modified Renault Kwid hatchback. He first asks him about how he thought of buying the Renault Kwid. To this, he answered that he first wanted to buy an automatic transmission car which had a round gear controller similar to the one that comes in a Jaguar. He then settled upon a Renault Kwid. Following this, he added that after buying this car, he was suggested to get it modified.

Next up, the presenter explained that this particular car had come to their shop twice. The first time this car came was to get a customized interior. They first fitted it with sofa-like white seat covers, custom ambient lighting, a high-end music system, and an electric sunroof. Following this, the presenter then asked the owner why did he bring it back for further modifications. To this, he replied that he used the car for around 7-8 months. He wanted to check the new sunroof and other modifications. After he was satisfied, he was suggested by his friends to completely revamp the car and make it premium from the outside as well.

So for this job, he once again chose Autorounders, and this time around, he asked them to completely transform his car according to their taste. Following this brief, the presenter mentioned that they suggested him to go with this unique Sonic grey color, which has never been used before on a Kwid or any car in India. He also suggested going with the more expensive but premium and rare genuine Nappa leather for the interior. The owner of the car then stated that after being convinced, he left the car with them.

The presenter then mentioned that to transform the appearance of the car, they fully disassembled the car. After this, they sanded down the car and painted it completely in the Sonic grey color. He added that they also removed all of the chrome from the car and painted every non-body panel in high-gloss black. They also removed all the Renault logos from the car as well. Next up, he stated that bigger alloy wheels with bigger tires were also added to enhance the sporty appearance of the car.

Finally, the presenter talked about the interior of the car. He added that not a lot of people go with the genuine Nappa leather option as it is a bit more expensive than standard leatherette material. However, after getting the owner’s permission, they finished the interior in a dual-tone shade of black and dark tan leather to enhance the premiumness of the interior.
