American Audi owners can now customize their infotainment screen, and use the Audi App Store
As cars become increasingly loaded with screens, it’s only natural that they’ll turn to the world of smartphones for inspiration. The latest example of that is Audi Themes and the Audi App Store, which are now offered to American drivers.
Available through the MMI infotainment system in select 2023–2024 vehicles, Audi Themes is a new feature that allows owners to personalize their screen with new wallpapers. Specially curated for customers, the themes depict far-flung landscapes, animals, and shapes and help perfect the vibe of the vehicle interior.
In addition to places and shapes, Audi says that it will have seasonal themes to celebrate big holidays. It will also soon introduce themes inspired by popular movie characters, though it has not yet revealed which ones, specifically.

More than just a screen background, the themes also bleed out into the rest of a vehicle’s cabin, if it is equipped with the optional Ambient Light Package plus. This changes the color of the interior lights to better suit the subject matter of the theme.
Audi Themes is available through the myAudi Marketplace or the myAudi smartphone app for a one-time cost of $12.99 (plus taxes and fees). They are specific to the vehicle they are purchased for, and are not transferable.
In addition, the automaker has introduced its new Audi App Store, which allows owners to download apps directly through the infotainment screen. The automaker says that the store will have programs dedicated to music, video, gaming, navigation, parking, charging, productivity, weather, news, and more.
Available in vehicles equipped with the latest MIB 3 software, and a subscription to Audi connect PLUS with Wi-Fi is required to access the Audi App Store.
