Billionaire businessman Yohan Poonawalla is renowned among enthusiasts for his car collection, which features a variety of expensive and exotic cars showcased on our website multiple times. Recently, Yohan Poonawalla added another expensive car to his collection: a Bentley Flying Spur. Not the regular version, but the most powerful W12 Speed variant that costs around Rs 7 crore. Pictures of Yohan Poonawalla’s brand new Bentley have already surfaced online.

These images were shared by Hottest Cars in India on their Instagram page. In the circulating online images, we can see Yohan Poonawalla posing with his brand new Bentley. In many interviews, Yohan Poonawalla has expressed his fondness for Bentley, Rolls Royce, and Ferrari as brands, and his garage primarily houses cars from these brands. The newly acquired Bentley Flying Spur showcases his love for this luxury car brand.

Yohan Poonawalla purchased the car in a shade of red. Like all Bentley cars, the Flying Spur is an extremely elegant sedan—a 4-door super-limo offering both comfort and performance. The front of the car is defined by the signature quad headlamp setup, a large front grille with vertical chrome slats, and a chrome-finished bumper bearing the Bentley moniker on the bonnet. All these elements, coupled with the long bonnet, define the front of this super-limo.

Moving to the side profile, the car boasts large 22-inch alloy wheels finished in gunmetal grey, complementing the red shade of the car. Chrome strips run across the lower half and rear bumper, while brushed metal finishes adorn the windows. The car features all-LED taillamps, and the sloping roof and rear windscreen meet the boot, which showcases the Bentley badge on the tailgate. Inside, the comfortable cabin has received updates, imparting a sportier look. The interiors now feature Dinamica fabric throughout, and the instrument cluster and seats in the Flying Spur Speed have been tweaked, bearing Speed badging. The illuminated door sills add to the interior’s allure.

It remains unclear whether Yohan Poonawalla opted for any customization options for this Flying Spur Speed. Bentley offers optional extras like a carbon fiber front splitter, bootlid spoiler, rear diffuser, and side skirts. These extras reduce the overall weight and improve the vehicle’s aerodynamics.

Now, discussing the engine and transmission, the Bentley Flying Spur W12 Speed is powered by a 6.0-liter W12 turbocharged engine, producing 635 PS and 900 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a ZF 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The power is predominantly sent to the rear wheels, and the active 4WD system distributes power to the front wheels when necessary. The Flying Spur Speed, a super-limo, can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. This model marks one of Bentley’s final cars to feature a W12 engine, as the brand plans to discontinue this engine in April 2024. Price for a brand new Bentley Flying Spur W12 Speed Super-limo is around Rs 6.82 crore, ex-showroom. Yohan Poonawalla is an avid car collector and he was announced as the “Collector of the Year 2023” by the Geneva International Motor Show that was held in Qatar recently.
