Tata Motors had a busy year in 2023, with the automaker first putting up a good show at the Auto Expo 2023 with the concept models of Sierra EV, Curvv, Harrier EV and Avinya. Tata then made the year even more impactful with the launches of CNG versions of Altroz and Punch and heavily updated versions of Nexon, Nexon EV, Harrier and Safari. And now, Tata Motors is gearing up to make the upcoming new year even more impactful with the launch of four all-new models, which will be added to its lineup. Here are the details as claimed by ACI:

Tata Punch EV

Tata Motors has been testing the Punch EV, which has already been spied on trial runs several times this year. The automaker will begin 2024 by launching the Punch EV in the first half of 2024. Compared to the petrol-powered version, the Punch EV will get EV-specific design highlights like blue inserts and a closed grille and additional features like LED headlamps, a sunroof, full-TFT instrument console, all-wheel disc brakes, two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. To be launched in the price range of Rs 12-15 lakh, the Tata Punch EV will directly take on the Citroen eC3.

Tata Curvv

Tata has already confirmed that the SUV coupe based on the Curvv concept will be hitting the market with all three powertrain options – petrol, diesel and all-electric. Sharing its design with the Curvv concept, the new midsize SUV-coupe from Tata Motors will sit between Nexon and Harrier in Tata Motors’ lineup.

Along with the 1.5-litre diesel engine and all-electric powertrain from the Nexon and Nexon EV long range respectively, the Tata Curvv production model will also get the brand’s new 1.2-litre 125 PS turbocharged petrol engine. The transmission options on offer will be as expansive as that of the Nexon. This new SUV will be a unique-looking alternative to midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.

Tata Harrier EV

The Tata Harrier EV was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 in a production-ready form, and if insiders are to be believed, the all-electric midsize EV will be hitting the Indian car market ahead of the festive season in 2024. Like the Nexon EV, the new Tata Harrier EV will also get EV-specific design highlights, while sharing the base exterior, interior and equipment list with the recently launched diesel-powered Harrier. Expect the Tata Harrier EV to be launched with a 60kWh battery pack and a dual-motor setup, with which it will take on electric SUVs like the BYD Atto 3 and soon-to-be-launched Mahindra XUV.e8.

Tata Altroz facelift

The Tata Altroz premium hatchback has remained almost unchanged ever since its launch in 2019, save for the addition of new variants, powertrain and transmission options. However, Tata Motors will be updating the Altroz hatchback with a comprehensive facelift, which will see it receiving changes to its exterior and interior, along with feature additions like a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a full-TFT instrument console. Expect the facelifted Tata Altroz to retain its petrol and diesel engine options, with the changes set to make it an even more compelling alternative to Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai i20.
