Tesla Brightens The Holidays With A Cybertruck Light Show

Tesla has released a new video of five Cybertrucks performing 'The Arrival' from the holiday update

Tesla’s holiday update began rolling out to customers earlier this month and it includes a new light show called “The Arrival.” The automaker has now shown it in a clip featuring five Cybertrucks.

The performance is synchronized to music and the truck’s various lights are used throughout the performance. In fact, all five work together to ‘send’ a beam of light from one end to the other via their light bars.

In typical Tesla fashion, it’s interesting but kind of pointless. Those wanting to create their own light show can find more information on GitHub, although it isn’t for the faint of heart.

According to the Read Me, shows can be run on any supported vehicle and the show itself is loaded via a USB flash drive. Sequence data is stored in a .fseq file, while music comes from an .mp3 or .wav file.

While that doesn’t sound too intimidating, creating a custom light show appears to require a lot of work, although that largely depends on how long and elaborate you want it to be. That being said, “multiple light show repositories can be found online” and that might be the way to go for casual fans.

If you want to give it a try, you can download and install the xLights application and follow the lengthy list of instructions that are posted at the link above.
