After having an eventful year with successful launches like Fronx, Jimny and Invicto, Maruti Suzuki is eyeing 2024 with a few ground-breaking new products. Like the SUVs from Maruti Suzuki which debuted in 2023, the new upcoming Maruti Suzuki vehicles in 2024 are also expected to create huge anticipation and continue the carmaker’s success run in the compact car space. Following are the three all-new products from Maruti Suzuki all set to hit the market in 2024:
Maruti Suzuki Swift
The first big launch expected from Maruti Suzuki in 2024 is the all-new fourth-generation Swift, which has already debuted overseas. Featuring a sleeker and sharper appearance over the current-generation Swift sold in India, the new upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift looks more like an evolution, with more angular headlamps and tail lamps. The new Swift will also have a bolder-looking grille, with the rear door handles moving back to their conventional positioning on the door panels, and not on the C-pillar like in the current model.
In addition to an all-new cabin layout inspired by the Baleno, the new Maruti Suzuki Swift will also get an all-new 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally-aspirated Z-series petrol engine. With a maximum power output of 90 PS and peak torque output of 113 Nm, this engine will be offered with both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options in India.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Maruti Suzuki DzireFollowing the launch of the all-new Swift, Maruti Suzuki will also bring its sedan derivative, the Dzire, in the first half of 2023. Like the current Dzire, the new-generation model is also expected to have a distinguished design over the hatchback. The cabin layout, however, is expected to remain the same as the new Swift, including a floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, revised centre console and new features like a 360-degree parking camera and wireless charger.
The all-new Maruti Suzuki Dzire will also get the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-series petrol engine which will power the new Swift. And like in the hatchback, this engine will be available with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options with class-leading fuel efficiency figures.
Maruti Suzuki eVX
The production version of the Maruti Suzuki eVX electric SUV concept has already been spied on trial runs in the country. Given that the test mule looks almost production-ready, the Maruti Suzuki eVX will hit the Indian market in the second half of 2023, most possibly ahead of the festive season. The eVX will be Maruti Suzuki’s first-ever all-electric vehicle for India and was recently showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show with more developments like the production-ready cabin and an evolved design.
Based on an all-new EV-specific platform, which will be shared with Toyota, the new Maruti Suzuki eVX will come with a 60kWh battery pack option, and will compete with all-electric SUVs like Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV and upcoming Hyundai Creta Electric.
