Maruti Suzuki Jimny is, without a doubt, one of the most capable off-road SUVs in India. Ever since its launch, a number of people have taken it to explore some of the most challenging terrains. The Jimny has also become a popular choice among new off-road enthusiasts who want to learn the art of off-roading. Recently, showing how a novice driver becomes an intermediate off-road driver, a video has been shared online. In this video, the new off-road driver takes his brand new Jimny across the sand dunes of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny in Sand Dunes

The video of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny taking on the challenging sand dunes of Jaisalmer has been shared on YouTube by DCV Expeditions on their channel. It starts off with the host of the channel explaining the premise of the video. He mentions that one of his subscribers recently bought a Maruti Suzuki Jimny because he wanted to learn how to properly perform off-roading. He adds that in their most recent Jaisalmer, Rajasthan sand dunes expedition, he learned exactly how to master this craft.

Next up in the video, it can be noted that the driver starts driving the Jimny on the desert of Jaisalmer. He can be seen navigating across the huge sand dunes where there were different areas of hard and loose sand. At one point, the Jimny was seen standing at a steeply angled dune. The owner of the SUV was then guided on how he should tackle this challenge to safely maneuver his Jimny. Following this, he then returns to the main track and attempts a new challenge.

Jimny Gets Stuck on Sand Dune

This time around, the challenge was to cross a dune that ends up in a steep slope going down. The novice driver first attempts this cross and fails as the Jimny gets stuck on the sand dune. He was then guided to reverse and attempt the cross again. He then does this a few more times, and each time he gets stuck. Finally, after understanding the obstacle thoroughly, he gives a shot, and this time he becomes successful and crosses the dune. Next up, he slowly goes down the dune.

Owner’s Review After the Expedition

Following the experience of driving on the deserts of Rajasthan, the owner shares what he learned. He shared that he always wanted to go to the desert by himself; however, the thought of driving alone scared him off. So when he learned about this expedition, he immediately jumped on the opportunity. He mentioned that the team at DCV Expeditions helped him understand the techniques of driving on deserts and also when to use which off-road gear. He added that he also learned the importance of a guide and recovery equipment.

The statement said that the Jimny is a very good off-roader and it has been built to take a lot of abuse. It added that it is a very good vehicle to take on tough off-road stuff. Additionally, the statement said that its parts being cheap, it offers a lot of confidence to drivers to take on more risky situations.
