It is believed that the company, with the new Creta EV, will be replacing the unsuccessful Kona EV. As for the powertrain, it could come equipped with a front-mounted 100 kW electric motor that produces 136 bhp of power and 395 Nm of torque. Along with it, it could get a 39.2 kWh battery pack that offers a maximum driving range of 450 km, which is the exact same powertrain currently available with the Kona.
Mahindra Thar five-door
A number of people are waiting for the launch of the Mahindra Thar five-door, which most likely would be making its debut around June 2024. The five-door model will come with a new middle row seat along with exterior and interior upgrades to differentiate it from the three-door Thar. It will get a new grille, new alloy wheels, new infotainment, and a dashcam. Powertrain choices will remain the same as the Mahindra Thar three-door model, which will come available with 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol and 2.2-liter diesel engine options in the four-wheel-drive variants. The 1.5-litre diesel could also be offered.
Tata Curvv EV
One of the most ambitious and uniquely designed models by Tata Motors is the Curvv EV coupe SUV. It will be making its debut around the first quarter of next year. It will be based on Tata’s new Gen 2 project, and with the help of this technology, it will come with a range of around 500 kms. It will sit between the Tata Nexon EV and the Harrier EV, which will also be launched around 2025.
Tata Curvv ICE
A few months after the launch of the Curvv EV, the company will follow up with the launch of the new Curvv ICE. Most likely, the company will be offering this SUV with the 1.5-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine that was shown at the Auto Expo 2023 earlier this year. It will produce around 170 bhp of power and around 280 Nm of torque. Apart from this, the company could also offer the diesel engine from the outgoing Nexon facelift as well in an attempt to lure in more buyers.
Maruti Suzuki eVX
The country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, will be entering the electric vehicle race with its mid-size eVX EV SUV. This SUV will be launched next year and will take on rivals like Harrier EV and Creta EV.
