Hyundai India is gearing up to introduce the highly-anticipated 2024 Creta facelift, scheduled for launch on January 16, 2024. This revamped version of the immensely popular SUV is poised to make a significant impact with a host of updates, including a fresh design, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, and the introduction of a new turbo petrol engine. Once unleashed, the updated Creta will enter a competitive arena, facing off against contenders like the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

One intriguing aspect of the upcoming Creta facelift tailored for the Indian market is its distinctive appearance, deviating from the Creta facelift models available in other countries. The spy shots taken during testing in India reveal a design aligned with Hyundai’s flagship SUV models. Expect notable changes, such as an entirely new grille, LED lighting on both ends, revised front and rear bumpers, and a fresh set of alloy wheels.

The interior of the 2024 Creta facelift promises a sophisticated experience, incorporating Level 2 ADAS, updated upholstery, a revamped dashboard, and center console. Additionally, drivers can look forward to a 360-degree camera system boasting enhanced visuals. Hyundai is also likely to introduce a newer iteration of its fully digital driver’s display, elevating the technological quotient within the cabin.

2024 Creta Facelift Engine Options

Under the hood, Hyundai India is anticipated to retain the current 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and diesel engine options. However, a notable addition to the lineup is the introduction of a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, available with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The new motor has already made an appearance on the Kia Seltos mid-sized SUV, which uses the same platform as the Hyundai Creta. Larger, more powerful and more fuel efficient, this turbo petrol engine has received rave reviews.  Like the pre-facelift Creta, the facelifted model will have multiple gearbox options including a six-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT), automatic torque converter, and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

The 2024 Creta facelift is poised to make a lasting impression, not only with its refreshed aesthetics but also with the infusion of advanced features and a dynamic powertrain lineup. Hyundai enthusiasts and SUV aficionados alike can mark January 16 on their calendars as the date when the revamped Creta will make its grand entrance, promising an elevated driving experience and a heightened sense of style on the Indian roads.
