Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this restored 1969 Chevrolet Malibu Sport Coupe. Cloned as a SS 396, this Bow Tie is powered by a rebuilt 396cid V8 paired to a TH400 automatic and 12-bolt rear with Positraction. Features include white longitudinal stripe, console, air conditioning, aluminum intake, and more. Finished in Tuxedo Black over a red vinyl interior, this second-generation Chevelle is being sold with a clear title in the seller’s name.
This Malibu was previously sold on AutoHunter in 2022 to the current owner. A repaint in the original Tuxedo Black (code 10) was completed in 2012 under prior ownership. Features include SS 396 badging, twin-domed hood, driver-side mirror, white side stripe, new T3 headlights, and dual exhaust system with chrome tips.
The 14-inch SS wheels with stainless steel trim rings are wrapped in 225/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
The red vinyl interior (code 788) features bucket seats up front with a console and “horseshoe” shifter. Features include SS steering wheel with power steering, air conditioning, head restraints, and AM radio.

Braking is power-assisted, with discs up front and drums out back. Recent braking system service includes the installation of new hoses, rotors, calipers, wheel bearings and seals, drums, cylinders, and spring kits. In addition, the idler arm, bushings, and rear control arms were replaced.
