Untamed 2016 Dodge Viper ACR Charms BaT Bidders, Can You Resist?

11 months ago 31

This Viper ACR is painted in GTS-R Blue Pearl with Bright White racing stripes and has only been driven 3,800 miles

Of all of the high-performance cars from the U.S. that have gone the way of the dodo over the decades, the Dodge Viper is among those that we miss the most. Fortunately, there are still plenty of used examples available across the country and this 2016 ACR would be at the top of our shopping list (if we had the money, of course).

The car has been listed up for sale on Bring a Trailer and while there is about a week left in the auction, bidding has already surpassed the $150,000 mark. That’s a serious figure and comes even though the ACR had a base price of $118,000 when it was new, showing that collectors and enthusiasts alike are keen to get their hands on one of the last great combustion-powered muscle cars.

Adorning the exterior of this Viper ACR is a beautiful shade of GTS-R Blue Pearl with Bright White racing strips. It is also sitting on ACR Venom hyper-black wheels clad in Kumho Ecsta ACR tires and has only been driven 3,800 miles since new. It is available with the window sticker revealing an original $130,240 price tag, an owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

There’s no doubt that the wild aerodynamics of the car is the first thing that catches the eye but the cabin of the Viper is also quite nice considering its age and focus on performance, rather than in-car comfort. Key features include seats clad in leather and Alcantara, a Harman Kardon audio system, a large infotainment display, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

It is unclear if the car has been taken on any track days in the past but it looks pristine and is just crying out to be driven hard. Will you be the one to oblige?
