Like many actors from the Malayalam film industry, Prithviraj is also a car enthusiast and boasts a decent collection of expensive and exotic cars. In fact, he was one of the first actors in Kerala to own a Lamborghini Huracan. Here is a video of Salaar actor Prithviraj Sukumaran that has surfaced online, showing him in a BMW 7-Series luxury sedan equipped with a V12 engine.

The video was shared by Azhar Andukka on his Instagram page. In this footage, we see a black BMW 7-Series cruising along a residential area’s pocket road. The car decelerates, maneuvering into a house. Eventually, it halts within the porch, revealing a V12 badge on the C-pillar. This model happens to be the previous generation.

The BMW 7-Series remains an exceedingly popular choice among celebrities in India and worldwide. While many celebrities have upgraded to the newer generation, some still opt for the older version due to its decent array of features and comfortable ride. Returning to the video, the car comes to a stop, and actor Prithviraj emerges from the rear seat, affording us a glimpse of the luxurious interior he chose—a combination of tan and black that exudes a premium feel.

The car featured in the video is the top-end 760 Li xDrive, loaded with features, priced at around Rs 2.46 crore, ex-showroom. This particular version of the BMW 7-Series was powered by a 6592 cc, twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine generating 600 Bhp and 850 Nm of peak torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The “Li” designation signifies that this car comes equipped with a hybrid system.

Loaded with features such as a fully digital instrument cluster, leather seat covers, an electric sunroof, 4-zone climate control, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, remote control parking, a touchscreen infotainment screen, paddle shifters, seat massager function, rear seat entertainment screen, and a premium audio system, this M Sport variant differs slightly in appearance from the regular version. Sporting an aggressive-looking front bumper, it offers a sporty aesthetic.

As mentioned earlier, the BMW 7-Series is a sought-after sedan among celebrities. However, it appears that Prithviraj is the only actor from the Malayalam film industry to own the 760 Li variant. Other actors who own a BMW 7-Series sedan include Asif Ali, Nivin Pauly, and Tovino Thomas. Dulquer Salmaan, one of the leading actors in South India, also possesses a current generation BMW 7-Series and was recently seen driving it in Chennai.

Returning to Prithviraj, he is a passionate car enthusiast. He initially bought and used the Lamborghini Huracan, then sold it, purchased another Lamborghini, and subsequently traded that sports car for a used Lamborghini Urus. He also acquired a used Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG SUV. Apart from these, Prithviraj owns an older generation Land Rover Defender that underwent restoration a few years ago. There are also reports that Prithviraj bought a Porsche 911 GT3 Touring package with manual gearbox. We are yet to see the car on road to confirm the reports.

He has also acted in other Indian languages, and his latest movie, “Salaar,” also starring Telugu movie star Prabhas, is performing exceptionally well in theaters. Salaar has already collected over 300 crores at the box office, recovering the 270 crore that was spent for making the movie. Salaar has been directed by Prashanth Neel, known for his work in the KGF Kannada movie franchise.
