The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, or the SUV more commonly known as the G-Wagen, is one of the most sought-after luxury cars in the world. At the moment, it is priced at Rs 4 crore in India, and not everyone can afford it. So, what a lot of people are now doing is buying the new Maruti Jimny, which costs between Rs 10.75 to Rs 15 lakh, and fitting it with aftermarket G-Wagen kits. Recently, a video of one of the most affordable Jimny to G-Wagen conversion kits has been shared online.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny to G-Wagen
This video of the most affordable Jimny to G-Wagen conversion kit comes courtesy of Vashu Singh from YouTube. It starts with the presenter asking the owner of this particular Jimny, as well as the owner of the shop that has customized it, about the details. He asks him about the details of when he purchased the car and how much he paid. The owner then mentions that he bought it right after the launch and paid around Rs 16.5 lakh.
Front modifications
Following this, the vlogger starts questioning the details of the kit they have added. To which the owner replies that this particular kit has been custom-made by them in India. They also have an imported kit which costs Rs 3.5 lakh. He then starts at the front of the SUV and states that the entire front fascia of the stock Jimny has been changed.
He mentions that it now gets a fascia similar to that of a G-Wagen, and it also gets a custom-made bumper with LED DRLs as well. He adds that they have kept the headlight stock. Next up, the owner elaborates that they have also kept the main bonnet original. However, to add the G-Wagen flare, they have added a Brabus-inspired bonnet scoop and top-mounted LED light bars in a special casing.
Side profile changes
Moving away from the front, the vlogger and the owner then talk about the modifications done on the side profile. The owner mentions that the car has been given a set of bigger fender flares, which they have custom-made and painted in the Kinetic yellow color of the Jimny. He also adds that the car has been given a set of AMG-styled multispoke alloy wheels finished in black. In order to get the fitment correct, they have also added a lift kit as well as some wheel spacers to the car.
Rear end updates
Lastly, the presenter then shows the rear end of this converted Jimny conversion. He states that the owner of the car has added a new rear bumper and a set of new smoked black LED taillights. Apart from this, they have also added a roof spoiler, which is an exact replica of the one that comes in a Brabus Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen kit. Lastly, he adds that they have also added a snorkel at the front right pillar of this SUV.
Interior modifications
After showing the complete exterior of the car, the owner shows the modifications done on the interior. He starts by showing the newly added ambient lighting and the AMG-styled air vents. The owner adds that they have also added an imported real carbon fiber D-Cut steering wheel from Thailand. Lastly, he mentions that they are working on the development of new leather seat covers and a new center console, which they will be soon adding.
