Bill Goldberg’s Last Call Demons Ignite a Historic Auction Spectacle

Bill Goldberg loves Dodge. He has been a muscle-car fanatic since he was a child and has collected many of his cars through Barrett-Jackson over the last 30 years. “It is a dream come true to be a spokesperson for Dodge,” said Goldberg, best known as a professional wrestler. “I’ve done some cool things in my life, but to be a spokesperson for Dodge is really cool.” In his role as a spokesperson, Goldberg has become known as “Santa Claus for Dodge” and, more recently, the “Mayor of Muscleville.”

This year, the Mayor of Muscleville has an opportunity for Barrett-Jackson bidders at the 2024 Scottsdale Auction. Goldberg is selling his pair of Dodge Demons, 2018 and 2023 models with VINs ending in 1083, as a single lot with No Reserve.

His close and personal relationship with the automaker enabled Goldberg to secure a 2018 Dodge Demon with a VIN ending in 1083. “As soon as I got it, I put it away” Goldberg said, adding that the car has been sitting in his collection ever since it rolled off the showroom floor.

When Dodge announced the Last Call series of vehicles and that one would be a Demon 170, Goldberg jumped at the chance to have matching VIN-ending cars and knew Barrett-Jackson would be the perfect place to sell them.

“I’m transitioning as a collector,” Goldberg said. “I want to drive all the cars in my collection.” As a result, Goldberg has put together the opportunity for an American muscle-car lover to buy a unique pair of vehicles with exceptionally low milage. According to Goldberg, the pair of Demons represents the end of the internal-combustion-engine era, signaled by the Last Call series, which includes the Demon 170 offered. ““Dodge is marking this transition with a big bang,” Goldberg said.

That “big bang” comes with a four-digit horsepower number for the 2023 Dodge Demon 170: 1,025. The figure is a significant increase over the 808 horsepower the 2018 Dodge Demon came with. In addition to the matching 1083-ending VINs, the vehicles have matching interior and exterior colors and options, and each has less than 10 miles on the odometer. Included with the sale is a Demon crate that was offered as a $1 option with the 2018 Demon from the factory. It comes on a pallet with skinny tires and is equipped with a jack stand and other numbered memorabilia.

“I’m a big, loud and overpowering guy, just like these Demons are big, loud, and overpowering” Goldberg said, adding that both vehicles were built specifically for him, as documented on all the paperwork that comes with the pair of muscle cars.

Goldberg plans to drive the 2018 Demon onto the Barrett-Jackson block, with the 2023 Demon driven by his son Gage who is also an avid car collector.

The sale of Goldberg’s pair of Dodge Demons marks a celebration of muscle car history, a passing of the torch, and the beginning of a new chapter for the lucky owner, who will possess the keys to this extraordinary piece of Dodge’s automotive heritage.

The Mayor of Muscleville may be relinquishing his role as the custodian of these Demons, but their thunderous legacy echoes on, promising endless thrills for the fortunate driver who will bring home the Last Call beasts.
