Mercedes-Benz is a brand associated with luxury. We have seen several videos on the internet that show how luxurious these cars can be. We have hardly seen people abusing such vehicles in India as they are pretty expensive to buy and maintain. However, we have seen several videos from Russian YouTubers where they actually destroy these vehicles and create videos of the same. Here, we have a video from India where a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen is being used to carry sacks of cement.

The video has been shared by TeamSCEII841 on their Instagram page. It’s a very short video recorded by someone passing through the road. In this video, which is only a few seconds long, we can see a white Mercedes G-Wagen parked on the side of the road with the tailgate open. Everything looks normal, but on closer inspection, people are noticed standing outside the vehicle and loading items into the boot.

There’s dust inside the car due to the items being put in the cabin. They are actually loading sacks of cement into the boot of this multi-crore luxury SUV. The registration number of the G-Wagen is not clear; however, the passing bike showed a Delhi registration. This means the G-Wagen was spotted somewhere in the Delhi NCR region. We have seen several videos and images from YouTubers in other countries where they put the G-Wagen through tough tests to check its durability. There’s even a video where a YouTuber filled the rear of the G 63 AMG with concrete and drove the car around to check its capability.

We’re not sure whether the SUV seen in the video is the G63 AMG or the G 350d. This is probably the first time we’ve seen someone use a G-Wagen in this manner. The G-Wagen is a massive SUV that can handle off-roading as well. It offers 480 liters of boot space, enough to carry luggage or, in this case, sacks of cement. We can see three sacks of cement in the boot, and the workers standing outside were loading another one. It’s one of the oldest SUVs in Mercedes-Benz’s lineup. Just like many other Mercedes-Benz models, the G-Wagen also has a history. It was initially built for the army, and later, a much more premium-looking version of the G-Wagen was launched for civilians.

The design of this SUV has not changed since its launch. Mercedes has maintained the boxy design of the G-Wagen in all generations, including the upcoming electric version. They have completely revamped the interiors and updated the engine to meet government regulations. The current generation G63 AMG is powered by a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 petrol engine generating 585 Bhp and 850 Nm of peak torque. It’s extremely popular among celebs and sports personalities worldwide. One of the recent Indian personalities to buy the G63 AMG is MS Dhoni. Earlier this year, the G63 AMG received a staggering price hike of Rs 85 lakh, and the current ex-showroom price of G63 AMG is Rs 3.3 crore. The G350d was replaced with an updated G400d, which is priced at Rs 2.55 crore ex-showroom.
