Over 500 examples of the E170's longer cabin variant are in service.
The Embraer E190 is one of the most successful Embraer single-aisle aircraft. Originally, the E190 was created as a variant of one of the manufacturer's other regional aircraft, the E175, which currently has a backlog of nearly 100 examples. However, the E190 had a longer fuselage, a larger wing, and a larger horizontal stabilizer. It also incorporated two new emergency exits over the wings and had two new GE CF34-10 turbofan engines. It can carry up to 124 passengers if situated in a single class, significantly more than the E170, which holds just over 75 passengers in a high-density configuration.
