It has emerged that Transavia has been issued a penalty by the Dutch Government for late overnight landings in Rotterdam.
As per NL Times, it is understood that a few flights have landed at the airport in the middle of the night without a valid reason given to authorities.

Under current rules, scheduled flights are not allowed to land in Rotterdam The Hague Airport between the hours of 11pm and 7am.
The restrictions only begin an hour later if airlines use aircraft that don’t emit as much noise, meaning that all flights landing between midnight and 1am are investigated by the authorities.
According to the ILT, the violations took place between May and August, and have been warned that future violations will result in fines going up to 250,000EUR.
Via ANP, a spokesperson from Transavia said the following on the violations that happened in Rotterdam:
“We always strive to land outside of the 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. period to limit noise pollution for local residents as much as possible.”
“Unfortunately, there are sometimes exceptional circumstances in which this is not possible”.
All eyes will be on whether the carry will incur anymore violations for between August and December, as if they have, then hefty fines will be sent their way for this.
But for now, Transavia will no doubt be wanting to operationally plan such delays better to avoid such penalties again out of Rotterdam The Hague Airport.
