ATLANTA- Passengers in Austin now enjoy an expanded range of options with Delta Air Lines (DL), as the airline introduces its most comprehensive flight schedule yet.

Commencing on April 22*, Delta will launch 11 new peak-day flights from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). This new service to Midland-Odessa and McAllen, Texas positions Austin as a key gateway for travelers from these cities to connect seamlessly across Delta’s global network.

Delta 11 New Austin Flights

In an effort to enhance customer convenience, Delta is strengthening its Austin service by introducing an additional flight to both Cincinnati and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.

In a groundbreaking move, Delta is positioning Austin as a crucial hub for seamless connections to its extensive global network.

Travelers passing through Austin to or from Midland-Odessa and McAllen will benefit from access to nearly 50 peak-day nonstop flights reaching 15 U.S. airports, including all Delta hubs, Las Vegas, and Orlando. This comprehensive network provides a wealth of options for exploring destinations across the country.

Expanding beyond domestic connections, Delta’s partners at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) contribute to global connectivity with nonstop service to Mexico City (MEX) and Amsterdam (AMS).

Flight Schedule

Commencing on April 22, the newly introduced flights will operate on dual-class regional jets equipped with First Class and Delta Comfort+, serving various destinations:

Nashville (BNA): Three daily flights will establish a connection between Austin and the vibrant music scene of Music City, forging a new link between these two entertainment hubs. Midland-Odessa (MAF): Three daily flights offer travelers the opportunity to explore the heart of West Texas, close to the picturesque landscapes of Big Bend National Park. McAllen (MFE): With three daily flights, passengers gain exclusive access to the southernmost tip of Texas, conveniently located near the popular leisure destination of South Padre Island. Cincinnati (CVG): An additional daily flight, bringing the total to two daily flights to Queen City. Raleigh-Durham (RDU): An extra daily flight, increasing the total to three, providing enhanced access to the Research Triangle in North Carolina. Photo: Aero Icarus | Flickr

More Flights this Summer

Delta is poised for a 12% increase in peak-day seating capacity year over year in its summer schedule, covering the entire state of Texas. This underscores the airline’s dedication to growth and intensified connectivity in pivotal regions.

In Dallas, travelers can look forward to enhanced options, including additional flights from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) to Boston (BOS) and LaGuardia (LGA) that commenced this fall.

Furthermore, new flights to Seattle (SEA) are set to launch on July 8, 2024. In July 2023, Delta expanded its services at Dallas Love Field (DAL) by introducing new flights to Los Angeles (LAX).

Delta also upholds robust daily, year-round services to key Texas locations such as Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), San Antonio (SAT), El Paso (ELP), and Houston Hobby (HOU). This is complemented by seasonal flights to Harlingen (HRL).
