China Eastern Airlines has launched its first-ever direct passenger flight route from Shanghai to Cairo, making it the pioneer Chinese airline to connect these two vibrant cities.
The inaugural flight, MU223, embarked on the historic service from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Cairo International Airport on December 11, marking a new milestone for the carrier.

Departing from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 00:45 a.m., the A350-900 wide-body aircraft, with 232 eager passengers onboard, touched down at Cairo International Airport at 7:19 a.m. local time.
