Air Transat Airbus A321LRs Could Be Grounded Next Year Over Pratt & Whitney Engine Issues

The global recall of Pratt & Whitney’s Geared Turbofan Engine will force Air Transat to ground up to 40% of its fleet in the future.

Canadian leisure carrier Air Transat will enter 2024 after a solid fourth quarter ending October 31st. The airline generated $570 million (C$765 million) in revenue and produced a profit. However, the airline has to brace for a downturn in fleet utilization this coming summer.
