Commenting on this milestone with the Airbus A220-300 was airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss:

“The Airbus A220-300 has been a game-changer for our airline, establishing itself as one of the core and very invaluable assets of the company.”

“With this aircraft, we now operate one of the most efficient and eco-friendly fleets in the skies, consistently delivering top-tier service to our passengers.”

“Airbus A220-300 has exceeded our expectations in terms of performance, enabling our reach to more distant and diverse destinations, including Marrakesh, Agadir, Dubai, and Gran Canaria.”

“Also, this month, we are welcoming our 46th A220-300, and we continue aiming towards 50 aircraft in 2024.”

By 2030, the airline will have up to 100 units of the aircraft type, making them the largest operator of the type in Europe.

More than 13.4m passengers have been carried using the Airbus A220-300 with airBaltic, across 150,000 flights and 328,000 block hours.

It remains clear that the airline’s relationship with the aircraft type will remain well into the future, and has strong confidence in the program.

All eyes will be on how this will help the airline’s growth going into the rest of the decade.
