In 2014, US low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines decided to reupholster the seats onboard its colossal fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. Replacing the fabric covering all of its seats fleet-wide was quite a big deal, not only concerning time and money spent on the project but also in terms of the 'waste' generated from such an undertaking.
