AirAsia X (AAX) is expanding its footprint in Central Asia with the launch of direct flights from Almaty to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia commencing 14 March 2024 with 4x weekly services every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
This proposed expansion, featuring four-times weekly services every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, marks a significant step for the medium-haul airline.
Kuala Lumpur’s Unique Charm
Kuala Lumpur, the bustling capital of Malaysia, beckons travelers with its distinctive skyline, rich cultural heritage, and the harmonious blend of modernity and tradition.
Serving as the gateway to Southeast Asia, this vibrant city offers seamless connections to various destinations in the region.
AAX Chairman Comments
Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Capital A Chairman, expressed his enthusiasm about this new chapter for AAX, emphasizing the airline’s dedication to exploring new territories.
He stated, “This expansion into the Kazakhstan market is a testament to our vision and determination to resume services to our most popular destinations post-pandemic.”
The introduction of direct flights to Almaty has the potential to foster significant trade, commerce, and education interchange, creating new employment opportunities.
Kazakhstan’s status as the wealthiest country in Central Asia further adds to the potential for a flourishing partnership between the two regions.
AAX takes pride in offering travelers from Kazakhstan the chance to explore the wonders of Malaysia, featuring great value fares to stunning beaches in Sabah, Kuala Terengganu, and Langkawi.
From the food haven in Penang to UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Sarawak, the airline promises a diverse array of exciting domestic destinations.
Connectivity with Fly-Thru
With AAX’s Fly-Thru connectivity, guests can seamlessly explore the gems of Southeast Asia.
From Kuala Lumpur, it is possible to embark on journeys to Phuket and Krabi in Thailand, Bali and Lombok in Indonesia, Siem Reap in Cambodia, Saigon in Vietnam, and many more.
This new route undoubtedly provides greater travel opportunities but its deeper benefits perhaps lie in the strengthening of bonds between Kazakhstan and Malaysia.
Launch with Promotional Fares
As AAX prepares to inaugurate its flights between Almaty and Kuala Lumpur, travelers can anticipate discovering Malaysia’s beauty, food, culture, and enjoying sunny beaches year-round with warm hospitality.
To mark the occasion, promotional fares starting from USD249 all-in one-way on Economy seats or from USD699 all-in one-way on a Premium Flatbed are available for booking until 24 December 2023.
These special fares are valid for travel between 14 March and 26 October 2024, presenting an incredible opportunity for those eager to embark on this new journey.
