Ethiopian Airlines flight ET715 pushed back from a very snowy Oslo Gardermoen Airport on December 21 and taxied out to the active runway.

Upon lining up to the active runway for departure to Stockholm, the aircraft veered off the runway in the initial phase of take-off.

It is understood that all occupants are safe, but air traffic in Oslo Gardermoen was disrupted as a result of this incident.

The aircraft had to get moved from the active runway to allow the flow of departures to continue, resulting in significant delays as a result.

At the time of writing (22/12/23), ET-ATH, the Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner has not been airborne since.

All eyes will be on maintenance crews to see if there is any damage sustained to the aircraft as a result of this before it can restart commercial operations.

For now, all eyes will be on the crews for this work to be completed.
