FORT WORTH- Over the weekend of December 23, 2023, American Airlines (AA) made several adjustments to its intercontinental operations for the Northern Summer 2024 season.
The mentioned changes are derived from a schedule listing comparison between December 10, 2023, and December 23, 2023, as of 07:30 GMT on December 24, 2023.

American Airlines International Schedule
The effective dates provided below are based on departures from the United States, as reported by Aeroroutes.
Effective May 6, 2024, on the Chicago O’Hare – Athens route, the Boeing 787-9 will replace the -8 variant with daily service, commencing two days earlier than originally planned.
For the Chicago O’Hare – Dublin route, seasonal service will resume on June 5, 2024, instead of March 31, 2024, as initially scheduled. Additionally, starting August 5, 2024, the 787-9 will replace the -8 variant with one daily flight.
The Chicago O’Hare – Venice Marco Polo route will see the 787-9 replacing the -8 variant for daily service effective June 5, 2024. This marks a service resumption since October 2019.

On the Dallas/Ft. Worth – Barcelona route, a new daily service with the 787-9, will commence on April 5, 2024. From July 5, 2024, the aircraft will be switched to a 777-200ER. The route is scheduled until August 11, 2024.
The Dallas/Ft. Worth – Buenos Aires Ezeiza service will be suspended from March 29, 2024, to October 26, 2024.
For the Dallas/Ft. Worth – Frankfurt route, the 777-200ER will replace the following aircraft during various periods:
787-8: April 5, 2024 – May 4, 2024, and July 11, 2024 – August 5, 2024. 787-9: September 4, 2024 – October 24, 2024. This route is not listed from July 3, 2024, to July 10, 2024.On the Dallas/Ft. Worth – Madrid route, the 777-200ER will replace the 787-9 from May 6, 2024, to September 6, 2024. Additionally, from June 6, 2024, to July 4, 2024, a seasonal second daily flight will be operated by the 787-9.
For the Dallas/Ft. Worth – Paris CDG route, the 787-9 will be replaced by the 777-200ER during the following periods: April 4, 2024 – May 4, 2024, and June 5, 2024 – August 5, 2024. A seasonal second daily flight with the 777-200ER is scheduled from June 6, 2024, to July 9, 2024.
On the Dallas/Ft. Worth – Rome Fiumicino route, the 787-9 will be replaced by the following aircraft during specific periods:
July 5, 2024 – September 3, 2024: 777-200ER. September 4, 2024 – October 6, 2024: 787-8. The planned seasonal second daily flight, AA290/289, will resume on June 6, 2024, with the 787-8 unchanged.Lastly, on the Dallas/Ft. Worth – Tokyo Haneda route, from April 4, 2024, to May 4, 2024, the 787-9 will replace the -8 variant for one daily flight.

In the Miami – Buenos Aires Ezeiza route, the 787-8 will replace the 777-200ER for the second daily flight, AA907/908, during selected periods instead of being scheduled for 1 daily for the entire season. The revised schedule is as follows:
April 4, 2024, to May 5, 2024: 3 weekly flights. June 5, 2024, to September 3, 2024: 1 daily flight. October 7, 2024, to October 25, 2024: 1 daily flight.On the Miami – London Heathrow route, from June 5, 2024, to August 4, 2024, the second daily flight AA056/057 will be operated with the 777-300ER, replacing the -200ER. The overall schedule will consist of 2 daily flights with the 777-300ER.
For the Miami – Madrid route, effective April 4, 2024, the 777-200ER will replace the 787-8 for 1 daily flight.
Further, in the Miami – Rio de Janeiro Galeao route, starting May 6, 2024, the 787-8 will replace the 777-200ER for 1 daily flight.
The Miami – Santiago de Chile route, from June 5, 2024, to August 4, 2024, will see the 777-200ER replacing the 787-8 for 1 daily flight.
On the Miami – Sao Paulo Guarulhos route, effective April 4, 2024, the second daily flight AA995/906 will be operated with the 777-200ER, replacing the 787-8. The overall schedule will include 1 day each for the 777-200ER and -300ER.

For the New York JFK – Paris CDG route, from July 19, 2024, to August 4, 2024, the 777-300ER will replace the -200ER.
In the New York JFK – Rome Fiumicino route, effective April 4, 2024, the 777-300ER will replace the -200ER, except for the period from July 19, 2024, to August 4, 2024.
Regarding the Philadelphia – Athens route, seasonal service will resume on May 6, 2024, instead of the originally filed May 5, 2024. From July 5, 2024, to August 5, 2024, the 787-9 will replace the -8 for 1 daily flight.
Further, on the Philadelphia – Dublin route, from August 5, 2024, to October 5, 2024, the 787-9 will replace the -8 for 1 daily flight.
