Ayurvedic treatment for PCOS

PCOS is a common cause of infertility, which is treatable. Ayurvedic treatment can help women with PCOS get pregnant.  Treatment of infertility in Ayurveda is done through Panchakarma Therapy for PCOS/PCOD to improve fertility.

• Exercise or Yoga to Balance the Hormones: Regular exercise or Yoga keeps the body and mind fit and healthy. It balances the hormones thereby increasing the possibility to conceive.
• Swedanam: Swedanam is a procedure performed to induce sweat and expel toxins from the body. Herbal steam is sent all over the body keeping the head aside. Here, the body is enclosed in a wooden box that is hoarding the steam.
• Vamanam: This is a detoxifying therapy in which the body gets rid of undigested food by emitting it through vomiting thereby clearing the GI tract.
• Phala Ghritam: This Ayurvedic preparation consists of herbal ghee as its base and here liquefied butter combined with milk is given.
• Shirodhara: In Shirodhara therapy, the medicated oil is poured at a specific point on the forehead. This therapy is done through specific rhythmic movements thus bringing the mind into a balanced state.
• Shodhana: This is an essential Panchakarma treatment therapy that helps elimination of toxins from the body. It opens up the body channels and maintains healthy blood circulation throughout the body. Proper blood circulation also ensures the transport of nutrients thus enhancing ovarian, tubular, and uterine functions and this way corrects fertility disorders.
