HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS!

Today is the last day of 2023! Thank you to all who have visited this site and sought to learn and grow as followers of the Creator! I pray that you all have a blessed year to come!

This was a momentous year for me and four of my high school friends as we all turned 50 in 2023! To celebrate, the five of us took an adventure to Iceland!  I was also able to attach a side trip to Ontario to visit more friends and family!

This year I also navigated being an empty-nester all on my own (with the help of my three affectionate kitties). I learned that, although I’m capable of doing many things on my own, the comfort of friends and family are invaluable.

This year’s top ten list includes seven words that were on last year’s list. The three new additions (snake/sea serpent, valour, I Am) edged out last year’s numbers 10, 9, 8: barak (blessing), hineni (here I am), and derek (the way). So, without further ado, I present to you a countdown of the Top Ten Hebrew Words of 2023 (according to the blog statistics).

In 2024 let us be HELPFUL and HOLY IMAGE bearers, WAITING to see the FACE of YHWH! Let us REST well, knowing that the great I AM gives us the strength to be VALIANT and FAITHFUL. With YHWH on our side nothing can harm us. SNAKES & SEA-MONSTERS are merely God’s creations; their chaos cannot take us down when we put our trust in YHWH. He is the light that shines in the darkness, the one who illuminates our lives:

Micah 7:7-9

But as for me, I will look to YHWH; I will wait for the God of my Salvation. My God will hear me. Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise; though I sit in darkness, YHWH will be a light [owr] to me.

Because I have sinned against Him, I must endure the rage of YHWH, until He argues my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me into the light [l’owr]; I will see His righteousness.

Look to the light! Shalom, one and all… See you next year!
